Chris began his career at Urban in 1998, after earning his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech in 1997.  During his years of design and project management experience, Chris has become an expert in land development processes throughout Northern Virginia.  He has successfully managed the preparation of a multitude of land development applications in numerous jurisdictions. He is especially well versed in residential and public school applications in Fairfax and Loudoun Counties in Virginia.

Chris's technical expertise includes land planning and lot-yield studies, land development budgets, feasibility studies, site and subdivision grading, infill grading plans, road and roundabout design, stormwater management, wet and dry utility layout and design, erosion and sediment control, maintenance of traffic, and striping and signage plans.  His attention to detail and quality control philosophy are instilled in each member of his team to ensure accurate, buildable results for his clients.

Chris knows the keys to every successful project are communication and responsiveness.  He prides himself on his ability to communicate effectively, not just on a daily basis with his peers and clients, but also in more formal settings with review agency staff, in public meetings, or in the community. He has been able to deliver on-time, on-budget results for his clients on a consistent basis by anticipating potential challenges ahead of time, by responding immediately to any issues as they arise and by developing strong relationships with other consultants, contractors, and review agency staff.
